Alisn was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas playing any sport she could get into. She quickly fell in love with basketball playing throughout high school and into her freshman year of college; but if you know Alisn, you know she is a little “vertically challenged”. So her passion for the court quickly turned to hitting the pavement running as she competed as a dual-sport athlete her freshmen year of college. Alisn excelled in running taking 6th place in the marathon during the 2017 NAIA outdoor track and field championship meet, capping off her senior season earning All-American honors with multiple All-Conference honors throughout her career.

After graduating with her B.S in Biology from the University of Saint Mary (USM), Alisn decided to continue her educational career at USM pursing her doctorate in physical therapy (DPT). Staying at USM allowed her to continue competing post-collegiately at a high level where she lowered her marathon personal record to 2:55:29 at the Houston Marathon in January 2019.

Since graduating with her DPT in May 2020 mid-pandemic, Alisn tackled many life milestone because what else was there to do? Alisn married the love of her life, a lucky Mr. Jon Rizzo, in June 2020, began her career as a PT in the outpatient setting, and had a beautiful baby girl in January 2021. If that’s not enough, Jon was stationed at Ft. Carson in May 2021 bringing Alisn to CISM in June 2021.

When working with Alisn, you will find she is often smiling for one reason or another (even with a mask on). She strives to treat her patients in a holistic manner meaning she treats not only the injury, but the person too. Being a physical therapist, she is able to create an individualized approach combining movement, education, and manual therapies to empower her patients with the ability reach their goals.

When outside of the clinic, Alisn is often found running the Colorado Springs trails trying to get back in running form post-partum, playing with her rambunctious one year old, or chasing after her dogs while her husband decompresses playing video games.
