Grant is a Colorado Springs native who grew up on the north side of town and attended Pine Creek High School. Grant has been an athlete all his life and has played basketball, volleyball, soccer, and football.

 After High School he pursued additional education in exercise science, anatomy , and nutrition to include being an anatomy lab assistant for UCCS before receiving his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado Anschutz.   He enjoys hobbies such as weightlifting and camping, hiking, brewery hopping.
