Savannah grew up as a modern-day nomad moving frequently with her family. Although she’s not “from” any one place, she has spent time in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Alaska and a few other places that she’s kept funny sayings from. She was kept busy playing soccer, basketball, track and field, and swimming. Savannah graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage (2018) where she discovered her love for the outdoors. It’s also where she learned how variable healthcare can be across the country and found a passion for ensuring everyone has access to high quality healthcare.

You can bet you’ll be challenged during your PT visit here! Although exercise is important for rehabilitation and ensuring people can get back to what they love, it’s not the only skillset we have as physical therapists. Savannah recognizes the importance of a multimodal approach including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy techniques, activity modification, and most importantly EDUCATION. Living in biomedically underserved areas impressed the need for spending time with patients explaining WHY they hurt and HOW they are going to get better, so come prepared for an anatomy lesson!

After moving to Virginia to pursue her DPT at Shenandoah University (2021), Savannah moved to Colorado because she missed the mountains. When she’s not in the clinic, you can find Savannah outside running, hiking, camping, fishing, skiing, playing soccer, or curled up inside with a good book and something sweet.

Savannah has recently co-authored a publication The impact of pain neuroscience education in a Hispanic-American population: A mixed-methods exploratory study and works with our Spanish speaking population in the clinic.
